Angella O’Brien, born and raised in St. Lucia, is a performance poet, author, and an event planner. Ella’s Artistry, previously branded as Ella’s Poetry, is the umbrella for all art forms executed by Angella O’Brien.
Angella is not just a poet, but a performance poet. Her performances typically include a unique combination of music, costume, and expression to captivate her audience. In June 2023, she participated at the Marché de la Poésie in Paris. This was her first international presence and served as the launch of her first poetry book - Poetic Keepsake.

Poetic Keepsake

Poetic Keepsake is a chapbook of 29 beautifully crafted poems. The self-published chapbook is a collection that portrays poetry with vivid imagery, inspiration, culture, and bliss. Do not hesitate to get your copy and make it your Poetic Keepsake!
The book has three themed sections: Brazen, Art of Life, and Saint Lucia; Plas Kwéyòl. Brazen features poems about freedom while the Art of Life features poems about life, love, and loss. The Saint Lucia; Plas Kwéyòl includes 8 poems. Of these, 5 are written and performed in St. Lucian Creole, as the section captures St. Lucian culture in all its grandeur.
Events
As an event planner, Angella has curated Twilight Jamboree and Creole Kick Off. Twilight Jamboree launched in 2019, and annually features live bands and emerging talent from St. Lucia. It is usually held within the April to May Saint Lucia Jazz season. Creole Kick Off also commenced in 2019 to jumpstart the Creole Heritage celebration all month long in October.
